The Body, Mind & Soul Expo is a multi-exhibitor event focused on health and wellness.

A first of its kind in Sonoma County, the event is ALL FREE and will feature everything and anything related to the wellness of Sonoma County families and individuals. Join us to learn about making your body, mind and soul more healthy with hands-on demonstrations and treatments. Here are the fun and informative sessions you can experience at the Body, Mind & Soul Expo!

1:15 p.m. in the Alexander Room

Learn how to build a personal fitness practice that creates greater overall health and wellness for mind, body, and spirit. Nasrina Evenstar, Associate Health & Wellness Director at YMCA, will be speaking on the intersection of mental and physical health. She will also be teaching some basic breath skills and yoga postures to facilitate the use of fitness and physical form to soothe the nervous system and bring a calming effect to the mind.

2:15 p.m. in the Alexander Room

Learn Heartsaver CPR! Ted Williams is a Licensed Paramedic and the owner of Rescue Ready. In addition to his knowledge and skills acquired in the field as a paramedic, his experience in the entertainment industry allows Ted to create a fun, lively, and interesting atmosphere that enhances the learning process. You’ll come away from the class feeling more confident to help, and equipped with the essential skills to do so.

We know yoga can be intimidating. It can seem like it's meant for those that are already bendy or strong, or only for those that have the right attire. But, Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga is accessible to anyone, from any background, who is looking for total physical, mental and emotional transformation...no matter what level of fitness. It is purposefully challenging and active so that it can catapult students from wherever they are right now to whole new thresholds of physical and mental power.

After the traumatic experiences of the last month, it is pretty easy to recognize that we need to revitalize the respiratory system and make sure to boost our immune systems, especially when the smoke has also been part of the picture. AND we need to help our bodies process the events to let go of the pent-up trauma and sense of overwhelm. With Deborah Myers, a local health educator and acupressurist, you will discover easy-to-learn and easy-to-do self-help acupressure to let go of stress and rediscover your vitality. Learn easy steps that allow you to be a partner with your own body!

Learn about ClearCaptions, a free phone captioning service that provides near real-time call captions of phone conversations for individuals whose hearing loss inhibits their phone use.

As the leader in pain management in the Northern California region, Summit Pain Alliance is pleased to offer patients our unique Clinical Research Center. Partnering with industry leaders to provide the newest cutting-edge technologies and advancements in pain relief, both acute and chronic, our research center allows us to offer the newest pain management therapies to our patients that would otherwise be unavailable at other pain practices. Barbara Kangas, our Nurse Practitioner, will present an overview of our providers and what we do, what type of pain we treat and treatment options that we provide. Plastic Surgery: Quick Fixes. Join Sonoma County plastic surgeons, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Culbertson, for an informal, fun and interactive session. They will talk about Botox, fillers, Coolsculpting and any aspect of plastic/cosmetic surgery that the audience would like. See awesome before and after pictures. Get all your questions answered!

In the aftermath of the Kincade Fire, and the lengthy evacuations and power outages that went along with it, we have a panel of three local experts who will talk about crisis recovery for your:

Body...the physical impact of crisis and how to relieve the stress, tension, etc.

  • Matthew Dalsing, LMFT of St. Joseph Health's Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, will address the ways that stress can be detrimental to your body. It affects your immune system and increases risk of anxiety, depression and even heart attack. Learn how to manage stress and find balance, even in today's ultra-connected society.

Mind...the mental impact of crisis and how to cope with anxiety, depression, etc.

  • Dr. Christine Naber is a neuropsychologist who was instrumental in helping to develop the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County's Wildfire Mental Health Collaborative following the 2017 fires. The program provides free help to those recovering from fire trauma, including counseling sessions, trauma-informed yoga classes and more. Dr. Naber addresses these issues not only from the perspective of a local mental health professional, but also as someone who personally experienced the loss of her home to the fires two years ago.

Soul...the emotional impact of crisis and how to better handle anger, fear, etc

  • Amanda Slade of "Co-Create Your Success" will review the emotional impact of a crisis and how it energetically affects you. She will give you three tips on how to get started today on transforming your emotions and also tool to take home with you to help you feel safe, grounded and connected. This will assist you to focus once again on the positive, gain clarity on your next steps and trust moving forward in a powerful way.
